ALISHEVA Alila Tursumbayevna
Biography
(18.01.1959, Alma-Ata) – ballet dancer, teacher-choreographer. Honored Figure of Kazakhstan (2013), Associate professor (Docent of Art History, 2020).
She graduated from Almaty Choreographic School (1970-1977), teachers A. G. Gabitova, A. K. Tulekova, I. K. Olzoyeva, Sh. Zhienkulova, G. N. Beisenova, M. Z. Akhmediyeva. T. K. Zhurgenov Institute of Theater and Cinema on specialty “Teacher of Choreography” (1994-1997).
She began her career as a ballet dancer at the Republican Uighur Theater of Musical Comedy (1977-1982).
She completed an internship at Moscow Choreographic School (1983-1984), worked as the Head of choreographic circle in the House of Pioneers (Alma-Ata).
1984-2004 – lecturer at the A. V. Seleznev ACS (disciplines: classical dance, folk stage dance, historical and daily life dance).
1994-2002 – Chairperson of the Cycle Commission on Folk Stage Dance. Among her students there are the Honored figures of Kazakhstan: K. Agimbayeva, N. Kanetov, K. Sarkytbayeva, D. Sushkov, A. Tanykpayeva, A. Murzakulov.
1986-1989 – teacher of character dance and co-director of performances of the German Theater Academy on the basis of the T. K. Zhurgenov KazNAA.
2002-2012 – teacher of the department “Directing of Choreography” at the T. K. Zhurgenov KazNAA.
2012-2015 – Director and artistic director of the “Astana Ballet” Theatre.
2015-2016 – Head of the educational and methodological department of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography; in 2018, she held the position of Vice-Rector on training-methodological work. Since 2019 – Director on educational work and social development.
Author of four training manuals on folk stage dance, including “Composition of folk stage dance” (2019), monograph “Looking at the sky” (2018) and more than forty articles on methodological issues and the creativity of the outstanding figures in choreographic art of Kazakhstan. She is also the co-author of the textbook “Folk Stage Dance. Theory. Practice” (2023).
Holder of the Badge of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the CIS Peoples (2015); Medal for the 30th anniversary of the Independence of Kazakhstan (2021).
