Biography

23.01.1935, Balkhash, Karaganda region - tentatively 1988, Alma-Ata.

Soloist of the ballet of the Abay SAOBT.

Honored Artist of the Kazakh SSR (1966). Holder of the "Badge of Honor" Order (1959).

1945-1955 - graduated from the Kazakh State Choreographic School. Teachers: V.E. Nikolayev, M.N. Shatlovsky (junior grades), A.V. Seleznev (high grades). At the graduation concert, he performed F. Chopin's "Seventh Waltz" from the ballet "Chopiniana" with Natalia Gudochkina-Kanshina. Upon graduation, the Diploma was not conferred, as he did not have a matriculation certificate.

1955-1956 - as a gifted graduate he was sent to the Leningrad State Choreographic School (LSCS), where he completed a professional development course. Teachers: A.I. Bocharov, A.I. Pushkin, I.D. Belsky. In Leningrad, he graduated from high school, having received a matriculation certificate and a Diploma from the LSCS.

September, 1973 - July, 1975 - studied at the 2-year courses of "the intern teachers" at the Leningrad Academic Choreographic School (formerly LSCS).

1956 - 1978 - ballet dancer, leading soloist of the Abay SAOBT.

Classical and demi-classical repertoire: Prince Siegfried, Evil Genius, Spanish dance, pas-de-trois in act I, solo in Hungarian dance and Mazurka ("Swan Lake"), Prince Desire, Cavalier ("Sleeping Beauty"), Basil ("Don- Quixote), Albert, Hans ("Giselle"), Young man ("Chopiniana"), Girey (first performance, "The Fountain of Bakhchisarai"), Vaslav ("The Fountain of Bakhchisarai"), Gray Cavalier (first performance, "Bolero", choreography by Z. Raibayev), Ali Batyr (first performance, "Shurale"), Jainak (first performance, "On the Way of Friendship"), Gianciotto, Paolo ("Francesca da Rimini"), Strauss ("Grand Waltz"), Vizier (first performance, "Legend of Love"), Ferkhad ("Legend of Love"), Phoebe, Claude ("Esmeralda"), Eugene, Dutch dance ("The Bronze Horseman"), Kambar ("Kambar and Nazim"), Jainak ("On the Way of Friendship"), Old Man Hottabych (first performance, "Old Man Hottabych"), Ocean ("Old Man Hottabych"), Captain, Barmaley, Boatswain, Phoenix in the classical adagio ("Doctor Aibolit"), Asan (first performance, "Akkanat"), Kara-Khan (first performance, "Chin-Tomur"), Brahmin ("La Bayadere").

Participation in opera performances: male solo in dances and dance scenes in the operas "Abai", "Amangeldy", "Aisulu", "Kamar-Sulu", "Birzhan and Sara", "Kyz-Zhibek", Spanish dance ("La Traviata" ), Lezginka (“Ruslan and Lyudmila”), Slaves, warriors (“Aida”), Solo in the “Polovtsian camp” (“Prince Igor”), Balbraun (“Er-Targyn”).

Concert repertoire: classical pas-de-deux from the ballets "Swan Lake", "Sleeping Beauty", "Giselle", "Don Quixote", Spanish dance from the ballet "Swan Lake", Pas d'Esclave from the ballet "La Bayadère" (staged by B. G. Nikolayev), "The Seventh Waltz" by F.Chopin from the ballet "Chopiniana", Spanish dance "Pasadoble", Y. Brusilovsky "Balbraun" from the opera "Er-Targyn" (choreography by D. Abirov), concert numbers "In the vast virgin lands" to the music by G. Zhubanova (choreography by D. Abirov), "The Bowels of the Earth", "Girl and Jigit" (choreography by D. Abirov), Sputnik in the concert number "Space" (staged by V.I Vainonen), soloist in " Basque Dance" from B. Asafiev's ballet "The Flames of Paris" (staged by Y.P. Kovalev). He participated in the tours of the theater in India, Indonesia.

The dancer of a peculiar artistic talent who possessed an excellent stage appearance, impeccable technique, easy jumping, simplicity and sincerity of acting. A brilliant performer of national dances. He made a significant contribution to the development of the Kazakh ballet.

1970-1973, 1975 - Alma-Ata Choreographic School, artistic director. He combined his work with a dance career at the Abay SAOBT.

01.10.1975 - 26.10.1976 - he combined the work of the teacher-tutor of the ballet at the Abay SAOBT and the position of ballet soloist.

Awards: "Badge of Honor" Order (17.01.1959) was awarded for successful performance during the Decade of Kazakh Art and Literature
