Biography

One-act ballet.

Composer - Vsevolod Bulgarovsky. Libretto, choreography and staging -Bulat Ayukhanov.

First performers: Tatyana Anyushenko, Alexei Semyanov.

The premiere took place in 1971. The ballet was created for the ECM "Young Ballet of Alma-Ata" under the direction of Bulat Ayukhanov especially for the participation of the team in the Art Festival "Russian Winter" in Moscow.

In the center of the plot - there are a bride and a groom who came to the souvenir shop to buy gifts for each other. The couple puts a certain meaning into each of the souvenirs. Each souvenir is a dance. The ballet ended with a general dance of all the "souvenirs" and the bride and groom to the rhythmic sounds of folk music and its modern transcription.
