Biography

KazNAM was founded in 1998 in Astana. In 2010, due to the expansion of the range of specialties (directing by types, visual art, arts and crafts, design, choreographic art, acting, etc.), the educational institution received a new status and was renamed the Kazakh National University of Arts (KazNUA). From the first day of the Academy's activity, the Rector is Aiman Musakhodzhayeva, People's Artist of the RK, artist of the world, Halyk kaharmany, professor.

KazNUA is a multi-level educational institution on creative specialties: school-lyceum, college, Bachelor program, Master and PhD programs. Since 2010, there are 6 Faculties at the University: music; theatre, cinema and TV; traditional musical art; social and humanitarian disciplines; choreography; art.

Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences A.K. Kulbekova was invited to organize and form the academic and teaching staff of the Faculty of Choreography. The Choreography department of the college school was headed by D.O. Agzamova. Teachers: S. Zh. Kosmanov, T. O. Izim, R. I. Mussin, G. N. Saifullina, A. R. Yusupov, S. A. Turibayev, N. A. Usmanova, S. T. Kaukov, J. U. Kaiyr, D. M. Kuanyshbekova, D. E. Kabdusova, A. T. Esmurzayeva, O. V. Kho, A. A. Ayapbergenova, E. S. Zhumadyarova, D. R. Aldamzharova, R. V. Kenzikeyev and others. During the activity of the Faculty of Choreography, the leaders were A. K. Kulbekova (2010-2013), R. I. Mussin - Dean (2013-2016), T. O. Izim - Head of the Department (2013-2016), D. O. Agzamova - Head of subject-cycle commission of the TVE (2010-2016).

The first enrollment of students was in 2010: school - 100 people, college - 20 people, Bachelor program - 20 people. (Directing - 8 people, Pedagogy of Choreography - 12 people), Master program - 2 people.

Since opening, the Faculty held annual reporting concerts, in which the students from schools, colleges, and universities took part; student ensembles "Gauhar Bilezik", "Shabyt" were created, which are the Laureates of the republican, international festivals and competitions. Organizers and leaders of the ensemble: A.K. Kulbekova and A.R. Yusupov. The ensembles, together with the symphony and folk orchestras of the university, performed abroad (Italy, France, Austria, Turkey, India, Jordan, etc.). The teachers and guest choreographers staged the productions for the college and university students: in 2012, the soloist of the Imperial Russian Ballet under the direction of G. Taranda (Moscow) Zh.U. Kaiyr staged "Polovtsian Dances" from A. Borodin's opera "Prince Igor" (choreography by K. Goleizovsky). As part of the 10th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on December 19, 2011, on the stage of the Palace of Peace and Accord, the premiere of the musical by S. Erkimbekov "The House of Your Dreams" took place, which was written especially for KazNUA, in which more than 300 university students took part, including 90 pupilsand students of the Choreographic Faculty (the author of the idea is A. Musakhodzhayeva, script - G. Uketaykyzy, A. Molchanov, director B. Kurmangozhayev, production director N. Zhakipbayev, production designer V. Okunev, production choreographers: S.K. Zholumbayeva, A. K. Kulbekova, D.O. Agzamova).In 2012, the children's ballet "Yerlik Baka" was staged (the author of libretto - D.T. Nakipov, choreographers Gulmira and Gulnara Gabbasovs, composer N. Nuridin), the premiere took place at the K. Baiseitova NOBT.

Awards of the ensemble "Shabyt": Shara Zhienkulova I Prize of the IV competition of Kazakh dance (Astana, 2012); Grand Prix of the International Festival of Creative Youth "Shabyt" (Astana, 2014); Gold medal of the National Delphic Games (Almaty, 2014); Gold medal at the International Delphic Games (Volgograd, RF, 2014)

In 2016, in connection with the opening of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography, the Faculty of Choreography of KazNUA was completely transfered to a new educational institution.
