Biography
One-act ballet-confession.
Composer - Dmitri Shostakovich, Symphony No. 4 in C minor, op. 43. Libretto - Bulat Ayukhanov, based on the novel "Crime and Punishment" by Fyodor Dostoevsky. Choreography and staging - Bulat Ayukhanov.
The premiere took place in 1979. The production was staged for the SECD of the KazSSR under the direction of Bulat Ayukhanov.
Characters and performers: Raskolnikov - Sergei Tikhonov; Mother - Sayragul Nursultanova; Sonya Marmeladova - Galina Mikhaleva; The old pawnbroker woman - Bulat Ayukhanov; Svidrigailov - Rinat Musin.
The ballet is a philosophical reflection on human psychology, spiritual revival, the purification of characters through the prism of modern times.
