Biography
The creative team was established on the basis of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Red Banner Eastern Border District (REBD), which traces its history from the military-administrative operational association (border district) of the border troops of the CSS USSR, which was established on April 9, 1968 by the Decree of the Supreme Council of the Presidium of the USSR. The Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan was established on August 18, 1992.
The main tasks of the ensemble - to raise the patriotic spirit of the military on the border, to awaken a sense of patriotism, as well as a respectful attitude to the history of the country. Over its long history, the ensemble has brought up many talented performers and well-known cultural figures.
The first chief, who led the team for many years, was the Honored art figure of the Kazakh SSR, lieutenant colonel Mikhail Kleshchin, and the artistic director Mikhail Kolykhalov. In subsequent years, the creative team was led by: Honored art figure of the RK, lieutenant colonel Vasily Shupeikin, major Vladimir Kramarenko, lieutenant colonels Vitaly Zinoviev, Omarbek Abdumanapov, Honored Artist of the KazSSR Sergey Ryzhov, graduate of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Military Conservatory, colonel Kuanysh Anuarbek.
A bright trace in the history of the ensemble was left by the Honored artists of the KazSSR Alken Kazakbaev, Viktor Tkachenko; ensemble veterans Mikhail Larin, Yuri Chernyshov; dance troupe artists Nina Pichugina, Nina Pozharnikova, Olga Pleshkova, Karlygash Akylbekova, Amina Chernyshova, Lyudmila Soroka, Gulmira Don, Victoria Dudnikova, Talant Klyshbaev, Yerkebulan Agymbaev, Nurlan Dzhumaliev, Margarita Dzhumalieva, Alma Kobzhasarova. In the period 1982-1999 the ballet group was headed by Zhomart Kenzhebaev, in 2009-2015 the head and ballet master was Nurlan Dzhumaliev.
The ensemble three times became a Diploma winner of the All-Union competitions of border ensembles, twice was awarded the Diplomas of the Supreme Council of the Kazakh SSR and the Kirghiz SSR. The ensemble repeatedly traveled to the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan to the combat zones to perform in front of the soldiers who were performing their international duty.
Currently, the ensemble is based in Astana city. The ensemble team takes an active part in the events of the national scale. The head of the dance group is Turgumbaev Damir, the tutor is Jananbaeva Sholpan.
