Biography

(18.12.1978, Moscow, RF) – ballet dancer, choreographer, director.

In 1997 he graduated from Moscow State Academy of Choreography. In 1992-2003 he studied and then taught at the Modern Dance School headed by Nikolay Ogryzkov.

From 1997-2003 – ballet dancer of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia.

In 2001-2002 he completed an internship at the Netherlands Dance Theater headed by Jiri Kylian.

Since 2001 he begins an active creative activity as a choreographer and lighting designer. Author of more than 15 ballets and more than 100 concert numbers on the stages of Russian and foreign theaters, including: the musical “The Prince and the Pauper” in the Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater (2003), “The Loneliness of the Wind” to the music of J.S.Bach at the San Carlo Theatre (2004), the ballet “Mirror” in the Chamber Ballet of Moscow (later invited to the Benevento Dance Festival in Italy as the best modern ballet in Russia in 2004), the ballets “The Bourgeois Gentleman” by R. Strauss (2006), “Euphoria” by F. Schubert (2013) and the number “The Little Prince” by A. Pärt (2013) at the Mariinsky Theater, “Dream catchers” by A. Amar at the Mikhailovsky Theater (2010), “Tabula rasa” by A. Amar, Murkoff, J. Johansson at the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich- Danchenko Musical Theater (2011), “The City for One” by R. Aubrey at the Bolshoi Theater of Russia (2013), “Three Comrades” by K. Weill and Nils Frahm. He has staged productions for a number of opera performances, member of the Jury of International festivals, author of multimedia shows, producer and art director of 10 dance projects in Russia, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Israel, Bulgaria, Spain, and Finland.

At the “Astana Ballet” Theater he staged the one-act ballet “Alem” to the music of A. Amar and B. Gafarov based on the Turkic epic of the same title (2014).
