Biography

Ballet in 3 acts, 9 scenes.

Composer - Igor Morozov. Libretto - Pyotr Abolimov, based on the tales of Korney Chukovsky "Aibolit" and "Barmaley". Choreography and staging - Mikhail Moiseyev. Production designer - Anatoly Nenashev. Production conductor - Evgeny Manayev.

The premiere took place on January 14, 1950 at the Abay SAOBT.

The famous kind doctor Aibolit is a friend of all animals. Tanechka and Vanechka help him treat the animals. Aibolit's evil sister Varvara and the cruel animal trainer Kapitoni do everything not to let the animals go to Aibolit, but the doctor comes to help the patients. And even captivity in the lair of the robber Barmaley and his gang did not frighten Aibolit.

The main characters and main storylines in the new play have been retained. The changes only touched upon the non-key images. In the performance of M. Tleubayev, Grandmother, Grandfather, Cat, Stork, Bunnies and some other characters were absent. Barmaley remained alive and made friends with Aibolit, Vanechka, Tanechka and the animals.
