Biography

(25.05.1947, Alma-Ata - 18.06.2007, Almaty) - teacher. Kazakstannyn enbek sinirgen kayratkeri (2006).

He graduated from the Moscow Academic Choreographic School (1959-1965). Teachers: Z.A. Lapchinskaya, graduation class of A.M. Rudenko. He graduated from the Al-Farabi Kazakh State University, Faculty of Law. (1970-1975).

He began his creative activity as a soloist in the Abay SAOBT (1965-1968), worked in the ensemble "Young Ballet" under the direction of B. G. Ayukhanov (1968-1975).

He was at the origins of the formation of higher choreographic education in Kazakhstan. In 1994 he founded the Higher School of Choreography on the basis of the A.V. Seleznev ACS, which later became part of the T. K. Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts (Faculty of Choreography). The founder of the Union of Choreographers of Kazakhstan (1998-2006), worked as the director of the A.V. Seleznev ACS (1989-1998; 2005-2006), organizer of international competitions and festivals.
