Biography

One-act ballet.

Composer - Dmitry Shostakovich, Symphony No. 5, D minor, opus 47. Libretto, choreography and staging - Zhanat Baidaralin. Designer- Ernst Heidebrecht.

The premiere took place in 1974 on the stage of the Abay SAOBT.

Characters and performers: Mother - Zarema Kasteyeva; Father - Zhanat Baidaralin; Eldest son - Dyusenbek Nakipov; Younger son - Ulan Mirseidov.

The ballet about the war was inspired by the poem "Cranes" by the great poet Rasul Gamzatov. The ballet embodies the collective image of a Soviet family with the tragic fate of the post-war period - sons and husbands died defending the country from fascism.
