GABBASOV SISTERS COMPANY

Biography

Gabbasov Sisters Company was founded in 2007 by sisters Gulnara and Gulmira Gabbasovs. It includes Gabbasov sisters dance theater and a choreographic studio for children and adults. For the Gabbasov Sisters Company group, Gabbasov sisters staged original performances: "Cleaners" (2007), "Illusion of Love or..." (2008), "Without Words" (2009), "Three Colors" (2010), "Angels" (2010) ), “A Drop of Happiness” (2010), “Ekzikus” (2011, staged at the Samruk Dance Theater), “Look” (2011), “Shadow that never existed” (2011), “People of our city” ( 2011), "The Little Wizard Yerlik Baka" (2012), "Narkyz" (2012), "Three Colors" (2013), "Feelings" (2013), "Podium" (2014), "The Birth of a Romance" (2014), "Alpamys-batyr" (2015).

The repertoire of "Gabbasov Sisters Company" also includes the performances staged by the guest choreographers: "Lines" staged by Alexander Gurvich, "About the Same in Different Words" staged by Aigerim Suleimenova, "In the Cube" staged by Oleg Pak.

In different periods, the invited artists danced at the "Gabbasov Sisters Company": A. Abakayeva, O. Pak, B. Akhmedzhanov, E. Daniyarov, Zh. Imankulov, E. Yagin, A. Kasymov, A. Dosmukhambetova, A. Serokhvostov, V. Ashanin, S. Belyaeva, E. Vasiliev, Yu. Zhiguleva, N. Oleshchenko, E. Starostina, D. Gabbasova.

Every year the "Gabbasov Sisters Company" holds a "summer school" - seminars on modern choreography (author's course) for the teachers and choreographers. In different periods, Alexander Gurvich and Andrey Serokhvostov arrived to conduct a number of master classes.
