Composer - Cesare Pugni. Libretto - Bulat Ayukhanov, based on the novel by Victor Hugo "Notre Dame de Paris". Choreography and staging - Bulat Ayukhanov.
The premiere took place on September 13, 2021 at the Abay NOBT.
The performance was staged for the SADT RK under the direction of Bulat Ayukhanov.
Characters and performers: Gudule, Esmeralda’s mother - Aruzhan Bektaliyeva; Esmeralda, street dancer and star of Greve Square - Ainur Mukasheva; Quasimodo, the hunchbacked bell ringer of Notre Dame de Paris - Alazhar Karabalayev; Phoebus de Chateaupers, captain of the royal shooters - Diyar Akenev; Claude Frollo, archdeacon of Notre Dame de Paris - Madi Kasymov; Fleur de Lis, Phoebus de Chateaupers' fiancee - Zhanar Kusherbayeva.
Everyone is dancing the “White Waltz”, it is easy and free in the soul... The plot twists: the theft of a child; lethargic dream of Gudule; everyone thinks she is dead; the gypsies take the child with them; the crying of Gudule, upon awakening; adagio and monologue of Gudule in dance; Quasimodo - "straw" king of freaks; variation of Esmeralda... Handsome Phoebus comes out with the night watch, where he meets Esmeralda; two waltzes of Love and Happiness ...
