INZHU-MARZHAN FOLK DANCE ENSEMBLE
Biography
Folk dance ensemble "Inzhu-Marzhan" was founded in 2000 at the Kurmangazy House of Culture in Atyrau. Since 2010, the ensemble has been functioning in the SE "Nurmukhan Zhanturin Regional Philharmonic", Department of Culture, Archives and Documentation of Atyrau Region. The Head and the founder of the ensemble is Gulvira Turakbayeva.
The ensemble's repertoire includes more than 40 dances, including Kazakh folk and stylized dances: Ata Tolgauy, Adai, Balbyrauyn, Toybastar, Nauryz-kozhe, Erkeler, Shashu, Toy-duman. The ensemble also performs dances of the world's peoples: Uzbek, Turkish, Spanish, Indian, Chinese, Arabic, Uighur. The team closely cooperates with the musical folklore ensemble "Murager", jointly created 10 choreographic productions with live accompaniment.
The ensemble is a participant in many International festivals: "City of Friendship and Unity - Ufa" (Bashkortostan, 2014); "Drums dialogue for peace" (Cairo, Egypt, 2016); Kuala Lumpur International drum and dancef estival "Jenta-2017" (Malaysia); "Folkfaro Folclore International Cidade de Faro" (Faro, Portugal, 2017); International competition-festival of choreographic creativity "Roses of Russia", Laureate of the I degree in the nomination "Folk dance" and "Stylization of folk dance" (St. Petersburg, Russia, 2017); "42 is Pariglias Ethnodanza in tour" (Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy, 2018); "The 55th Beskidy Highlander`s week of culture" and "27th International Folklore Festival" (Wisla, Zywiec, Makow Podhalansky, Auschwitz, Bielsko-Biala, Poland, 2018); Kuala Lumpur International drum and dance festival "Jenta-2018" (Malaysia); "Turksoy Daimi Konseyi Kastomonu-2018" and "3th Youth Turk konseyi" (Kastamonu, Turkey); "Dance of Asia - Travel Together, Korea-Taiwan-Kazakhstan-Japan" (Seoul, South Korea, 2019); "Festival De Montignac-2019" and "46th festival de Gannat - Les Cultures du Monde" (Montignac and Gannat, France, 2019); Interregional festival of Kazakh culture with international participation "Tugan zher-2020" (Astrakhan, Russia, 2020); International choreographic competition "NOMAD AWARDS", Laureate of the II degree (Astana, 2022).
