One-act ballet.

Composer - Carl Orff. Libretto, choreography and staging - Olivia Geerolf (Bruges, Belgium); assistant - Hedwig Svimbere (Bruges, Belgium).

The premiere took place on September 29-30, 1993 at the Abay SAOBT.

Characters and performers: Soloists - Mayra Kadyrova, Gulnar Aliyeva, Gulzhan Tutkibayeva; Soloists - Murat Abdrakhmanov, Murat Tukeyev, Askar Nusupov, Erbolat Asylgazinov.

The libretto is based on the collection "Karmina Burana", which includes mischievous and free-thinking songs of goliards - itinerant creative people and students. The collection "Karmina Burana" is named after the location of the manuscript and is translated as "Bavarian songs". The songs glorify spring, love, fun and table joys, which is reflected in the compositional structure of the libretto. The main idea of the performance is the rotation of the "Wheel of Fortune", when happiness in a person's life turns into sadness, and hope is replaced by grief. The main parts of the performance: Prologue Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi - "Fortune - the mistress of the world"; Primo vere - "Early spring"; In taberna - "In the tavern"; Cours d'amour - "Lessons in Love"; Blanziflor et Helena - "Blanchefleur and Helena"; repetition of the first theme O Fortuna! - "Oh, Fortune!" the first part of Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi - "Fortune is the mistress of the world".

The crowd of people is trying in vain to turn the face of Fortune to them. Driven by the passions of the Fate, it viciously attacks the chosen one of the Fortune.

Fortune saves him and leads him to a wonderful world. The young man enters the realm of Flora and Zephyr. Fate gives him the love of a beautiful girl.

But Fate wants to mislead the Young Man by temptations: wine, gambling, affordable women. The young man sees his beloved, whose feelings gave him the joy of life. He asks Fortune for his salvation. Fortune is relentless. The young man disappears into the darkness...

The gray crowd continues to reach out for the Fortune, who is about to choose the next chosen one.
