Biography

(15.05.1924, Akmolinsk -21.09.2001, Almaty) - Soviet and Kazakhstani artist, painter, muralist, theater artist, teacher. He was awarded the Orders of the Patriotic War of the I and II degrees. Since 1959 he has been a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR.

After graduating from school, he was called to the front, a participant in the GPW.

1945 -was admitted to the N.V. Gogol KazRTAU, graduated in two specialties (artistic- pedagogical 1950, theatrical- decorative 1952).

1952 - began working at the Abay SAOBT. He made design of more than 20 theatrical productions: the ballets “Shurale” (1956), “Kashchey the Immortal” (1957), “On the Way of Friendship” (1958), “Kambar and Nazim” (1959); operas "Floria Tosca", "La Traviata", "The Merry Wives of Windsor", "Faust", "Don Pasquale", etc.

Picturesque works were distinguished by color expressiveness and compositional immediacy. This was most clearly manifested in the works: "Difficult Years", "In the Name of the Revolution", "Mussa Jalil", "The Mistress", "Friends", "Shakarim. The death of a poet”, “Altynsarin”.

Awards: medals "For military merit", "For labor distinction" (1959), "For the development of virgin lands". Jubilee medals: "XX years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945", "25 years of Victory in the war 1941-1945", "30 years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945", "40 years of Victory in the War 1941-1945", "50 years of the Armed Forces of the USSR”, “60 years of the Armed Forces of the USSR”.
