Biography
The creative team traces its history back to the 27th Song and Dance Concert Ensemble of the former 40th Army of the Central Asian Military District, which was formed on the territory of the three Union Republics by the Order of the USSR Ministry of Defense in 1969. In April 1970, the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Central Asian Military District (CAMD) was established. Honored Artist of the KazSSR Yakov Vovchuk was appointed the artistic director, later - Honored Artist of the KazSSR, major Roman Kozak, a graduate of the Moscow Conservatory, the Military Conducting Faculty.
During the existence of the ensemble, the artistic directors and chief conductors were Honored artist of the KazSSR V. P. Fomenkov, Honored artist of the KazSSR R. M. Kozak and others. Musical director - Honored artist of the KazSSR, choirmaster - Yu.V. Kolchin, ballet master - Honored artist of the Tajik SSR Yakov Vovchuk. At that time, Yakov Vovchuk and Mark Weinstein were the full-time ballet masters, and other directors were periodically invited. The Ensemble of the CAMD participated in all government concerts. The dance group, which stood at the origins of the Central Ensemble, was its integral part, which repertoire included folk dances and modern choreography, but the main emphasis was on military dances.
During the formation of the RK as an independent state, the ensemble underwent significant changes. In 1991, the 40th army was withdrawn from Afghanistan, which was subsequently deployed in Alma-Ata. Based on the concert ensemble of the 40th Army, the 27th Song and Dance Concert Ensemble was formed (Directive of the Minister of Defense of the RK No. 21/1/0050 dated 02.01.1991). The activities of the 27th Concert Ensemble did not last long. The Central Ensemble of the Ministry of Defense of the RK was approved by the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers on December 14, 1992 No. 1053. On December 29, 2000, No. 1941, by the Decree of the Government of the RK “On the establishment of State institution, the Central Ensemble of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the Patriotic Center” it has been transformed.
Graduate of the Tchaikovsky Moscow Conservatory, senior lieutenant Yuri Bondarenko was appointed the head of the ensemble. For several years, the head and chief ballet master of the ensemble was the Honored Artist of the KazSSR Alexander Pozharnikov. The first concert was held on February 22, 1992. Over the years, the leaders of the dance group were Yerkebulan Zhumakenov, Ezher Omin. On January 25, 2012, in accordance with the directive of the Minister of Defense of the RK, the ensemble was relocated to Astana, and in December 2015, the Central Military Orchestra of the MD RK was reorganized into the Central Military Orchestra of the National Military Patriotic Center of the AF RK. In the period 2003-2008 - chief ballet master, senior sergeant Nurlan Dzhumaliev; 2012-2015 - chief ballet master, lieutenant Medet Tleukhanov; 2016-2023 - Artistic director, major M. Tleukhanov. Since August 01, 2023, the head of the group - artistic director of the dance group of the CE NMPC AFRK, junior sergeant Alisher Mukhataev.
On permanent basis the ensemble takes part in all government solemn and festive events of the country, participates in various competitions and festivals of republican and international significance, such as the military-patriotic gathering of youth "Aibyn", International "Army Games", "Altyn Uki", "KADEX ”, the presentation of the award in the field of military journalism “Asker Media”, all concert events within the framework of the CSTO and, of course, the International Army Games “ArMI”. The ensemble holds important events such as “Zhas-Sarbaz”, “Sakhna Sarbazy” and “Asker Tarlany”.
Since 2014, in Almaty, as a branch of this ensemble, the Variety and dance group of the military-patriotic center of the AF MD RK has been functioning. The group takes part in large joint concerts with the military-patriotic center of the Central Ensemble of the MD RK. The tutor is Toylybayeva Sandugash.
