NADIROV Ivan Nikitich
Biography
(15.07.1906, Ganja - 12.1941, died in the battle near Smolensk) - Soviet composer, participant in the Great Patriotic War, member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union since 1930.
In 1936 he graduated from Moscow Conservatory in composition, teachers: N.Ya. Myaskovsky, M.F. Gnessin. In 1937 the young composer was invited to work in the KazSSR, where the opera "Shuga" was written by the order of the Kazakh Musical Theater; in 1939 he composed music for the opera "Terenkul" ("Deep Lake", libretto by M. Auezov and A. Tazhibayev).
On the eve of the 20th anniversary of the KazSSR (1956), with his participation, a new national ballet “Koktem” on the theme of collective farm construction (libretto by A. Tazhibayev, choreography by A. Chekrygin) was staged, which premiere took place on 8th November, 1940. For this ballet, the composer was awarded the Honorary Diploma of the Supreme Council of the Kazakh SSR. In 1943 based on the music for the ballet "Koktem" at the Abay Opera and Ballet Theatre, the play "Kazakh Dance Suite" was staged. He created a number of chamber-instrumental works, among which: "Ashug's Song about Lenin" for cello and piano, "Dances", "Suite" the works for violin and piano (1936), "Cantata" for choir and orchestra (1940), "Dance with transitions" for button accordion.
In July 1941, having refused from the reservation, he volunteered for the front, and was the unit's political instructor.
