The premiere took place in 1976 on the stage of the Abay SAOBT.

Characters and performers: Peter- Kairat Mazhikeyev, Ulan Mirseidov; Wolf - Eduard Malbekov, Tursunbek Nurkaliev, Igor Danilin; Bird - Zhumagul Zhalpakova, Saule Mirzabekova; Duck - Lyudmila Makartseva, Lyazzat Satybaldina; Grandfather - Alexey Maximov; Cat - Akhmedgali Burkitbaev, Alexey Maksimov; Hunters - Evgeny Makartsev, Uken Chelekbayev, Beysegul Kutpanbayev.

A symphonic fairy tale teaches children to recognize the instruments of a symphony orchestra, introduces them to all their characteristic features. Each character in the tale represents a certain musical instrument.

The ballet begins with reading the text, then the main character of the tale, Peter, enters the stage. It is presented by a cheerful musical theme performed by a group of stringed instruments. The ballet master skillfully showed the appearance of each character on the stage through the characteristic movements for a particular character. Stage costumes artistically complemented the images of the characters.
