Ballet dancer, ballet master, teacher.

Honored Artist of the Kazakh SSR "(1958). “Badge of Honor” Order (1959). Honored Figure of the Kazakh SSR (1967). People's Artist of the Kazakh SSR (1982). Laureate of the Kurmangazy State Prize (1986). Laureate of the Prize of the Youth Union of Kazakhstan (1992). "Kurmet" Order (2001). Professor.

1946-1952 – student of Kazakh State Choreographic School, teacher Alexander Vladimorovich Seleznev.

1952-1954 – upgrading class of the Leningrad State Choreographic School, teachers A. A. Pisarev, A. I. Bocharov, A. I. Pushkin, I. D. Belsky.

1958-1962 – A. Lunacharsky State Institute of Theatre Arts on specialty "Ballet Master-Choreographer", studio of L. M. Lavrovsky (Moscow).

1954-1958 – soloist, leading soloist of the Abay State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. Repertoire: Eugeny, Harlequin, Pushkin ("The Bronze Horseman"), Phoebus ("Esmeralda"), Nurali (first performance, "The Fountain of Bakhchisarai"), Vaslav ("The Fountain of Bakhchisarai"), Siegfried ("Swan Lake"), Basil ("Don Quixote"), Shurale ("Shurale"), Sabyr ("Dzungarian Gate"). Concert performances, including "Golden Eagle" staged by E. Glikurova. The dancer with an inquisitive mind, a bright temperament and a wide creative range, Raibayev was a thoughtful performer with a distinct individuality, excellent technique of male dance, which provided the filigree sharpness to his images on stage.

Since 1955 – teacher of the Alma-Ata Choreographic School.

Since 1961 – ballet master of the Abay State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.

1967-1970 – Chief ballet master of the Abay State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.

1970-1972 – Artistic director and Chief ballet master of the State Song and Dance Ensemble of the Kazakh SSR.

1972-1976 – Chief ballet master of the Abay Abay State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.

1976-1978 – Artistic director and Chief ballet master of the State Song and Dance Ensemble of the Kazakh SSR.

1978-1986 – Chief ballet master of the Abay State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. Member of the artistic council of the Abay State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre (since 1978). Member of the Committee on State Prizes under the Council of Ministers of the KazSSR (1981).

1986 - 1992 – Director-artistic director of the State Song and Dance Ensemble of the Kazakh SSR, which in 1989 was transformed into the "Saltanat" State Dance Ensemble of the RK. Performances in this team: concert program dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the USSR (1972), author the pearl of the national dance "Asatayak" with music "Ata tolgauy" by N. Tlendiyev (1983), concert program dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the USSR (1992).

1992-2002 – Chief ballet master of the Abay State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.

As a ballet master of the Abay State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, he staged the one-act ballets "Chopiniana" by F. Chopin (1962), "Francesca da Rimini" by P. Tchaikovsky (1962), "Bolero" by M. Ravel (1962, 1994), the one-act ballet "Hiroshima" by G. Zhubanova (1966), "Chin-Tomur" by K. Kuzhamyarov (1968), "Romeo and Juliet" (1972), children's one-act ballet "Peter and the Wolf" by S. Prokofiev (1976), "Spartacus" by A. Khachaturian (1974), one-act ballet "Man and Woman" by A. Onegger (1979), one-act ballet "Jeu de cartes" by I. Stravinsky (1979), "Frescoes" by T. Mynbayev (1981), "Raymonda" by A. Glazunov (1984), one-act ballet "Naughty Limericks" by R. Shchedrin (1992), one-act ballet "Egyptian Nights" by A. Arensky (1994), "The Dragon and the Swallow" by B. Kydyrbek (1996) and "Polovtsian Camp" from Borodin's opera "Prince Igor" (2002).

Z. Raibayev staged dance scenes in the operas "Birzhan and Sara" by M. Tulebayev - the famous "Mereke bi" in act III, which became an independent bright concert number; "Rusalka" by A. Dargomyzhsky; "Alpamys" by E. Rakhmadiyev; "Tulegen Tokhtarov" by A. Zhubanov, Latifa Hamidi; "Kamarsulu" by E. Rakhmadiyev; "Altynchach" by N. Zhiganov; "Aisulu" by S. Mukhamedzhanov; "Joan of Arc" by A. Onegger; "Er Targyn" by E. Brusilovsky; "Makhambet" B. Jumaniyazov.

1995-2004 – professor of the faculty "Choreography Directing" at the T. Zhurgenov KazNAA. Graduates of Z. Raibayev’s workshop: 2000 - G. Tutkibayeva, L. Kabatskaya; 2001 - V. Gugnina, V. Sycheva, V. Grishina; 2002 - V. Goncharov, T. Nurkaliyev.

Member of the Artistic Council of the Abay State Opera and Ballet Theatre (1978). Member of the Committee on State Prizes under the Council of Ministers of the Kazakh SSR (1981).

Awards: Laureate of the All-Union Competition of Ballet Dancers, II Prize (1957); Honorary Diploma of the Ministry of Culture of the USSR and the CC of the Trade Unions of Cultural Workers for active work in the preparation of the VI World Festival of Youth and Students (1957); Laureate of the All-Union Competition of Variety Artists (II Prize, Moscow, 1958); Medal "For the development of virgin lands" for success in servicing the rural population (1967); Medal "For valiant work in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of V.I. Lenin" (1970); Honorary Diploma of the Supreme Council of the Kazakh SSR for success in the development of Soviet Kazakh choreography and in connection with the 50th birthday (1982); Honorary Diploma of the Supreme Council of the Kazakh SSR for success in the development of Soviet Kazakh choreography and in connection with the 50th anniversary of the Abay SAOBT (1984); Medal "Veteran of Labor" (1992).
