Biography

Ballet dancer, teacher. Honored Artist of the RK (2006), Holder of the "Kurmet" Order (2013), Academician of the International Academy of Informatization (2009).

She graduated from Alma-Ata Choreographic School (1979-1987), teacher S.I. Kusherbayeva.

In 1987-1989 she performed the leading roles at the Abay SAOBT, the first "Miss Alma-Ata" (1988), the first "Miss Kazakhstan" (1989). 1989-1991 - soloist of the Moscow State Theater under the direction of L. Semenyaka; 1991-1995 - soloist of the Moscow National Theater under the direction of S. Radchenko, 1998-2000 - leading soloist of the troupe "Southern Ballet of Florida" (USA), 2000-2008 - leading soloist of "New Jersey Ballet Company" (USA). Repertoire: Giselle ("Giselle"), "Swan Lake" (Odette-Odile), "Don Quixote" (Kitri), "Sleeping Beauty" (Aurora, Lilac Fairy), "La Bayadère" (Nikiya, Gamzati), "Cinderella" (Cinderella), "The Nutcracker" (Masha), "Le Corsaire" (Medora), "Romeo and Juliet" (Juliet), "Esmeralda" (Esmeralda), "Anna Karenina" (Anna), "Red Giselle" (Ballerina), "Scheherazade" (Zobeida), "Carmen" (Carmen). She also danced in productions by G. Balanchine (Who Cares, Allegro Brilliante), J. Tomal (Georges Sand), A. Pairfarok, A. Kodge, B. Eifman and others. At various times she worked with teachers: I. Kolpakova, L. Semenyaka, L. Kunakova, F. Bujones, V. Kozlova, Eleanor D'Antuano. In the Abay SAOBT she worked with teachers: R. Kh. Baiseitova, S. E. Nursultanova, G. U.Tutkibayeva. S. Rakhmedova created unforgettable images of Anna Karenina, Scheherazade, Red Giselle. Her foreign partners were the principal dancers Jose Manuel Correnjo (ABT), Tuvshinbat Bold (NJB), in the Abay SAOBT she danced with leading soloists: D. Sushkov, A. Askarov, F. Buriyev, D. Zhenis and others.

Working in the USA, she became the ideological and creative organizer of the International project and the ballet troupe "Astana ballet company" (Astana, 2007), presented as part of the extensive program "Magic of Love", which included one-act performances, choreographic divertissements in the style of modern choreography. She was a participant and a member of the jury of various competitions and projects in the field of choreographic art: Chairperson of the jury of the International competition "Shabyt" (2006), Winner of the television project "Eki Zhuldyz" (2009), member of the jury of this project (2010), the television project "Dancing with the Stars" (2012), the qualifying International competition among choreographic schools "Orleu" (2018), etc. She acted in the films of Kazakhstani and Russian directors: the series "Sur boydak" / "Bachelor" (2014, director A. Uzabayev), "Parallel Worlds" (2013, Kazakhstan/Russia, director E. Amanshayev), "Return" (2013, director A. Abdykalykov), "Classmates" (2012, director I. Piskunov, E. Lisasina, E. Gilman), film almanac "My heart is Astana" (2011, director's group).

Since 2012 - teacher-tutor at the Abay SAOBT: A. Askarova - leading soloist of the Abay SAOBT, Laureate of many International competitions: New York (III Prize), Istanbul (I Prize), theater soloists A. Boratova, R. Taganova work under her supervision.
