Biography
(28.07.1927, Verkhnedneprovsk, Dneprovsky region, USSR - 06.12.2001, London, Great Britain) - ballet dancer, theater historian, ballet expert. Candidate of Art History (1964).
1937-1945 - student of the ACS, class of A. Seleznev and M. Mroz.
1949-1954 - student of the Faculty of History of Alma-Ata Pedagogical Institute.
1959-1962 - completed the graduate program of the Leningrad State Theater of Music and Cinema under supervision of Y. Slonimsky.
1945-1949 - ballet dancer of the Abay SAOBT.
She was engaged in scientific activities at the M.O. Auezov Institute of Literature and Art, AS RK. She entered the history of national choreography as the first researcher of Kazakh ballet.
1964 - she defended the dissertation "Kazakh ballet theater".
1976 - senior researcher of the Theater department L. Sarynova publishes her first monograph "The Ballet Art of Kazakhstan"in the publishing house "Gylym". The book explores the history of formation and development of the Abay SAOBT from its origins to the mid-70s, where the author provides in-depth analysis of the development of the theater in the 1930s-1940s, when the main aesthetic principles and special features, main paths and development trends of Kazakh ballet have been formulated for all subsequent decades. The author collected and systematized data on all the ballets staged in the designated period, biographical data of the leading ballet dancers and choreographers who worked at the Abay SAOBT. It was she who wrote the articles about the national ballet for the encyclopedia "Soviet Ballet" (Moscow, 1981). Her book "The Ballet Art of Kazakhstan" to this day is the only scientific publication that covers the stages of the birth of Kazakh ballet and its formation until the mid-1970s.
1989-1996 - at the invitation of B. U. Dzhantayev, the director of the A. V. Seleznev ACS, she begins to open a museum, which currently is the scientific and creative center of national choreography. She was engaged in teaching activities at the A. V. Seleznev ACS and T. K. Zhurgenov KazNAA.
