The anti-ballet "The Bald Soprano” was created based on the play of the same title by Eugene Ionesco (theater of the absurd, anti-play).
The Smith couple spend another evening at home, as usual, without noticing each other. The Martins who have lived a long family life together, but completely forgot about it, visited them. All participants in the scene, with seeming communication, absolutely do not hear each other.
Maid Mary seats the Smiths and the Martins, who are quiet after "stormy" communication, and to calm them down turn on the TV, after which the main characters fall asleep, have dreams in which they are what they would like to be. Waking up, the Martins remember that they are husband and wife and decide to renew their wedding vows. A solemn marriage takes place. The Smiths and Martins perform a passionate tango where each of them is madly alone in the seething sea of life.
At the end of the play, the couples exchange the roles and start the story anew. A series of recurring events, where new couples replace the old ones, tells about the continuation of Life, in its meaninglessness.
