Biography
TALPAKOVA Gulzhan Izimkyzy (12.09.1948, Atyrau) - dancer. Honored Artist of the KazSSR (1971); People's Artist of the KazSSR (1981).
Graduated from the Republican Studio of Circus and Performance Art (1967), teachers: Sh.B. Zhienkulova, G.B. Kiyakova, M.N. Shatlovsky.
She began her creative work at the Kazakhconcert (1967-1969); worked as a soloist in the "Gulder" State youth pop ensemble (1969-1973). Since 1973 she has been a soloist of the Kazakhconcert association. The repertoire consisted of dances of the world's peoples, as well as the Kazakh dances: “Aizhan kyz”, “Kos alka”, “Golden pheasant” (“Altyn kyrgauyl”). She is the successor of the school of solo performance of folk dances by Sh. Zhienkulova and N. Tapalova.
In 1977-1979 she completed the internship at Moscow Variety Studio, where she prepared a solo concert program, with which she toured the regions of Kazakhstan. She successfully performed on the best stages of Europe, America, Asia and Africa, went on tour in 52 countries of the world. Laureate of the World Festival of Youth and Students in Sofia (1968).
Since 2000 - Deputy Director of the Kurmangazy Palace of Culture in Atyrau city, and is actively engaged in social and charitable activities aimed to develop children's dance creativity.
