TIKHONOV Sergey Ivanovich
Biography
TIKHONOV Sergey Ivanovich (27.01.1957, Alma-Ata - 05.02.2018, Almaty) - ballet dancer, teacher-tutor. Honored Artist of the KazSSR (1990).
He graduated from Almaty Choreographic School (1967-1975) on specialty “Ballet Dancer”, class of the teacher M.E. Muntin; T.K. Zhurgenov Kazakh State Institute of Theater and Cinema (1998-2003), workshop of B.G. Ayukhanov. Graduation work - one-act ballet "Petrushka" by I. Stravinsky.
1975-1995 - leading soloist of the troupe "Young Ballet of Almaty". He made his debut as a soloist in the "Romantic Suite" (music by M. Glinka, choreography by A. Polubentsev). Then in the ballet "Fidelity" to the music of the Symphony No. 1 by D. Shostakovich (choreography by O. Sokolov). Main roles: Prodigal Son (“Prodigal Son”, music by S. Prokofiev, choreography by May-Esther Murdmaa), Leader (“Caravan”, music by T. Kazhgaliyev, choreography by B. Ayukhanov), Lensky (“Tatyana Larina”, music by P. Tchaikovsky, choreography by B. Ayukhanov); Egisto (Electra, music by A. Skryabin), Karenin (“Anna Karenina”, music by R. Shchedrin, choreography by B. Ayukhanov); concert numbers: "Ave Maria" (Bach-Gounod, choreography by B. Ayukhanov), Waltz from the ballet "Seven Beauties" (K. Karayev, choreography by B. Ayukhanov), "Sad Waltz" (J. Sibelius, choreography by B. Ayukhanov), Oriental Dances from the opera “Ruslan and Lyudmila” (M. Glinka, choreography by B. Ayukhanov), “The Trap” (chronology to the music by A. Musrepova, choreography by B. Ayukhanov).
1995-2017 - teacher-tutor of the State Academic Dance Theater of the Republic of Kazakhstan; 1999-2018 - teacher at the B. Ayukhanov school-studio at the "Foundation for the Support of Dance Art". He staged A. Borodin's "Polovtsian Dances" from the opera "Prince Igor" (2016).
Awards: Jubilee medal for the 10th anniversary of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
