Biography

One-act performance.

Music - Vladimir Pitertsev, libretto - Klara Diyarova, based on Bulat Zhandarbekov's action-packed novel "Tomiris". Ballet master and set designer - Gulsaule Orumbayeva. Costume designer - Evgenia Kirik.

The performance was created for the State Dance Ensemble "Saltanat".The premiere took place in 2005 on the stages of the Abay SAOBT and the Congress Hall in Astana.

First performance: Tomiris - Zhanna Makisheva; Rustem - Nurlan Konokbayev; King Cyrus - Farkhad Buriyev. The entire ensemble is involved.

The performance highlights the historical events of the VI century BC. - the period of the reign of one of the first conquerors, Cyrus the king of Persia, whose name during his lifetime was shrouded in a halo of glory and legends. An outstanding politician and great commander was obsessed with the chimerical goal of taking over the world. There was a struggle between King Cyrus and King Spargapis, who handed his kingdom over to his daughter Tomiris, thereby placing her on the pedestal of the Queen. She marries Rustam, who later becomes the commander of the Saka army. Freedom-loving tribes led by Tomyris managed to give a crushing rebuff to foreign invaders.
