Biography

Ballet in 2 acts.

The performance was created to the music of composers: Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Alfred Schnittke, Georges Bizet. Libretto and choreography - Boris Eifman (St. Petersburg, Russia). Ballet master assistants - Alina Solonskaya, Sergey Zimin (St. Petersburg, Russia). Production Designer - Martins Vilkarsis (Riga, Latvia); Costume designer - Vyacheslav Okunev (St. Petersburg, Russia), Lighting designer - Igor Kapustin (Tallinn, Estonia).

The premiere took place on October 20-21, 2010 on the stage of the Abay SAOBT.

Characters and performers: Ballerina - Kuralay Sarkytbaeva, Saule Albers (Rakhmedova); Security officer - Azamat Askarov, Dmitry Sushkov; Teacher - Ruslan Kadyrov, Nurlan Baibusinov; Partner - Stepan Lukomsky, Farkhad Buriyev; Friend - Ruslan Kadyrov; women lessons, French lesson, revelry, security officers, wilis, triumph, peasants, Charleston, retinue - ballet dancers.

The performance is dedicated to the tragic fate of Olga Spesivtseva, one of the greatest ballerinas of the XX century. Revolutionary Petrograd. At a classical dance lesson at the Mariinsky Theater, a strict Teacher singles out the Ballerina among the students. The crowded hall applauds to her. Among her admirers is the Commissar, the personification of the new power. The relationship with the Commissar is painful for the Ballerina. Fear is mixed with attraction. The Commissioner allows the Ballerina to leave Russia.

Paris, Grand Opera. The young choreographer offers the Ballerina a new, unfamiliar plasticity for her and becomes her Partner. Unrequited love, born to the Partner, and loneliness more and more intensify the spiritual heartbreak. The ghosts of the past haunt her. Giselle, the favorite role, in which the Ballerina shines, does not bring spiritual salvation. The fate of Giselle is prepared for herself - the betrayal of her lover, madness. The mind of the heroine does not withstand the shocks. The face of the Ballerina melts in the mirror.
