Biography

Folk Dance Ensemble "Akku" was created in 2000 in the SE "G. Zhubanova Aktobe Regional Philharmonic", Department of Culture, Archives and Documentation of the Aktobe region. Artistic director - holder of the badge "Excellence in culture of the RK" Omar Mambetov; chief ballet master - Honored figure of Kazakhstan Gulnar Mambetova.

The activity of the ensemble "Akku" is primarily aimed at promoting Kazakh dance. The repertoire of the ensemble includes national dances and dances of the world's peoples. The ensemble toured in many CIS and foreign countries. Participated in the International Festival of Folk Art in France (Romans-sur-Isère, 2016), the VIII International Festival of Dance and Music in India (New Delhi, Lucknow, Patna, 2018), the International Online Festival "La Danza Integradora de Culturas" (La Paz, Bolivia).

Folk dance ensemble "Akku" is the winner of the I Prize of the VI International Festival of Creative Youth "Shabyt" (Astana, 2003); Laureate of the І Prize of the III International Festival of Youth Creativity (Crimea, 2005); winner of the Grand Prix of the festival "Creativity of the Youth" (Beijing, China, 2006); Laureate of the International Competition "Running on the Waves" (Alania, Turkey, 2007); the winnerof the Gold medal of the V National Youth Delphic Games of Kazakhstan (Aktobe, 2009); Laureate of the International Festival "Dances of the world's peoples-2015" (Shymkent); Laureate of the II Prize of the XXII International Festival of Creative Youth "Shabyt" (Astana, 2018); the winner of the National "UMAI" Award in the nomination "Choreographic Art" (Astana, 2022).
