The ballet opera tells about the events that took place in Memphis and in Thebes during the reign of the pharaohs. The Egyptians are fighting with the Ethiopians. Radames, the commander of the Egyptian army, loves the slave Aida. Before the start of the war, Radames asks the pharaoh to give him Aida if he wins. However, Amneris, the daughter of the Egyptian pharaoh, wants to separate the lovers. She does not know that Aida is an Ethiopian princess and is ready to fight for the love of Radames...
