Biography

One-act ballet in 7 scenes.

Composer - Dmitry Shostakovich. Libretto - Alexander Belinsky, based on the screenplay of the same title by Vladimir Mayakovsky. Choreography - Konstantin Boyarsky. Production ballet masters - Natalia Yananis, Anatoly Sidorov. Scenography - Valery Dorrer. Production conductor - Valery Rutter.

The premiere took place in 1978 at the Abay SAOBT.

Characters and performers: Hooligan - Ramazan Bapov, Baurzhan Eshmukhambetov; Young lady - Zarema Kasteyeva, Farida Koigeldinova; Leader - Eduard Malbekov; Friend - Farida Koigeldinova, Inna Gulyaeva.

Scene 1. Working outskirts. The owner of the street is a Hooligan, who is greatly impressed by the Young Lady. Scene 2. At the school. In the new teacher, the Hooligan recognizes the Young Lady, who is striving to stop the "unbelted" guy. Scene 3. In the park. The Hooligan wants to confess his love to the Young Lady. She runs away. Scene 4. The Hooligan in a restaurant. The Young Lady appears to him as a vision. He runs towards her. The leader is trying to stop him. Scene 5. The hooligan is near the Young Lady’s house. Scene 6. The Park. Drunk guys disperse people in the park. The Hooligan stands up for the Young Lady and her friends. Former friends take revenge on the Hooligan. Mortally wounded, he goes to the Young Lady's house. Scene 7. Street. The Hooligan dies in the arms of the Young Lady.
