Biography

Ballet dancer. Honored Artist of the Kazakh SSR (1947), Holder of the "Badge of Honor" Order (1958).
He is a bright representative of the first generation of Kazakh ballet artists, who came to professional art from amateur performances. Since 1939 - a ballet dancer of the Kazakh Philharmonic, 1940-1959 - leading soloist of the Abay SAOBT. A dancer of wide genre roles, he performed both in the classical and national repertoire: Girey, Nurali ("The Fountain of Bakhchisarai"), Hans ("Giselle"), Quasimodo ("Esmeralda"), Abderakhman ("Raymonda"), Sancho Panza ("Don Quixote"), Aydar ("Spring"), Kambar ("Kambar and Nazim"), Li-Xin ("On the Way of Friendship"), Almas ("Coast of Happiness"), etc. He performed dance numbers in the operas: "Kyz Zhibek", "Zhalbyr", "Abay", "Birzhan - Sara". In 1959, as part of the ballet troupe of the theater, he represented the choreographic art of Kazakhstan in the USA (New York), performed the folk dance "Kokpar".
1962 - played the main role of the boy Erbol in the feature film "My Boy!" (Kazakhfilm studio, 1962, production director Emir Faik).
