Biography

DRAGUNOV Pavel Gennadievich (18.01.1969, Almaty) - artist, stage designer.

Graduated from the Art and Graphics Faculty of the Abay ASU in 1994. Since 1993- permanent participant of the city, republican and international exhibitions. In 2005, the gallery "Art East" hosted a personal exhibition of female portraits and nude "Prima Varae", in 2010 - exhibition of portraits jointly with S. Tasmagambetova in the Central Exhibition Hall of Almaty was organized.

Since 2012, he has been engaged in scenography and theatrical costumes. In collaboration with S. Tasmagambetova, he made scenography and costumes for a number of operas and ballets: the cantata-ballet "Carmina Burana" in the Abay SAOBT (2012), the opera "Birzhan-Sara" (2013), the comic opera "Aisulu" (2014), the ballet "Legends of the Great Steppe" (2015), the opera "Turandot" at the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theater (2016), the operetta "Die Fledermaus" in the M. Jalil Tatar Opera and Ballet Theater. (2016), operas "Il trovatore" (2019) at the Carlo Felice theater, "Kyz-Zhibek" (2020), "Alpha & Omega" at Helikon Opera.

At the Astana Opera Theatre he took part in productions of the ballet "Karagoz" (2014), operas: "Kyz-Zhibek" (2017, 2020), "Birzhan-Sara" (2018), "Turandot" (2018), "Eugene Onegin" (2019), "Don Carlos" (2019), "Alpamys", opera-ballet "Kalkaman - Mamyr" (2022).
