Biography

K. Kuzhamyarov Republican State Academic Uighur Theater of Musical Comedy is the only professional Uighur theatre in the world. It developed from the amateur circle "Blue Blouse" (1934). The drama troupe, folklore ensemble "Nava", dance ensemble "Rukhsara", as well as the variety ensembles "Yashlyk" and "Sada" function in the theater.

The theatre became a cradle and a school for the development of not only dramatic, but also vocal and choreographic national art. Absorbing the national Uyghur traditions, preserving the originality of dance forms, based on the community of wonderful gifted persons - Uyghur dance masters and professional ballet masters, the Uyghur stage dance has been gradually formed.

The first professional director and ballet master of the Uighur Theatre was Ali Feizulla Khodjayevich Ibragimov (Ali Ardobus, 1900-1959), Honored Artist of the Uzbek SSR and Karakalpak ASSR. In September 1934, A. Ibragimov staged the musical drama “Anarkhan” by J. Asimov and A. Sadirov at the Uighur Theatre, which became a classic work of the national dramaturgy and a hallmark of the theatre. In his production, the director included dance scenes from the “Ramzan” folk fest and the “Sanam” wedding ceremony. For the first time, the Uighur folk dance received a stage interpretation. In April 1936, the chief director of the theatre, Vakhab Azimov, staged the drama “Anarkhan” in a new edition, under the title “Anarkhan-Lailikhan”. Alexander Artemyevich Martirosyants (A. Alexandrov) was invited to stage the dance scenes of the performance.

1938-1945 - theatre ballet master is A. Baburin. He staged: Kazakh dances in the musical drama "Kozy-Korpesh - Bayan-Sulu" by G. Musrepov, director V. Dyakov (1938); Uighur dances in the musical drama "Gerip-Sanam" by I. Sattarov and V. Dyakov, director A. Marjanov (1941).

1952-1972 - under the leadership of the chief director of the theater S.R. Bashoyan, classes on stage movement were held regularly. They were conducted by ballet masters G. Aksyonov, and then N. Sidorov. In order to enrich the palette of the plasticity expression means, the ballet masters worked out the methods of presenting characteristic, grotesque images, studied the manners and behavior of the characters in Western European costume plays. The ballet master G. Aksyonov wrote a new page in the history of the Uighur theatre. In the musical drama "Farkhad and Shirin" (1950) in the scene "Dream of Shirin" he staged a dance on pointe for the soloist H. Jalilova.

1966-1991 - ballet master, chief ballet master of the SRUTMC is S.A. Akbarova. Dance scenes in the performances "Mashadi Gubad" by U. Gadzhibekov (1966) and "Aiman-Sholpan" by M. Auezov (1968). During this period, dance, plasticity scenes and dances were staged: "Kashgarkyzy" by S. Mukanov (1973), "Anarkhan" (1975), "Kim kimga ashik" by V. Yesmon and K. Krikorli, "Akkeme" by Ch. Aitmatov etc.

1986-2013 - chief ballet master of the theatre is G. Yu. Saitova. Musical dramas "Gerip-Sanam" (1986) and "Anarkhan" (1988) in a new edition. Since the 1980s, the theatre’s concert repertoire has included the works staged to author’s music: the fourth symphony by K. Kuzhamyarov “Takla-Makan”, “Poem of the dutar”, the vocal and choreographic suite “Amgak shatlygi”, the muqam “Visal”, “Caravan yoly” (composer I. Masimov), “Spring Waltz” and “Yashlyk” by A. Burkhanov etc. In October 1991, under the direction of G. Saitova, the dance ensemble “Rukhsara” was created. She is the author of the script and director of the first theatrical program "Ippyak yol".

The search for the new things led to the creation of new dance forms, a new genre - theatrical performance, concert- performance. For the theatrical performance "Melodies of the Silk Road" (2017), consisting of a Prologue and five scenes ("Thousand Caves", "Warriors", "Oma", "Tarim", "Horde") and the epilogue, the ballet master Kuryash Rajip from East Turkestan (XUAR, PRC) was invited.

2020-2022 - on the basis of the muqams, the concert programs "Raq", "Chapbayat", "Mushavrak", "Chargakh", "Panzhigakh" were prepared.
