BALLET GLOBE INTERNATIONAL DANCE FESTIVAL
Biography
International Dance Festival. The first festival took place in 2012 in Almaty. The founder and incorporator – Erlan Andagulov.
The goal is to demonstrate the high level of performing skills of ballet dancers of Kazakhstan on one creative platform in collaboration with the best dancers of the world ballet. Objectives: regularly organize cultural events with participation of the stars of national and world ballet, modern dance, well-known choreographers; create unique productions that combine classics and modernity, expanding international creative ties.
The geography of the festival covers more than 50 participating countries, 120 first soloists of the theatres such as the Abay KazNOBT, “Astana Ballet”, “Astana Opera”, Paris Opera, Bolshoi Theater of Russia, The Royal Opera (London), Mariinsky Theater (St. Petersburg), Vienna State Ballet, Danish National Ballet, Netherlands Dance Theater, Monte Carlo Ballet, Stuttgart Ballet, English National Ballet, New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre etc.
The festival contributes to the development of cultural and tourism potential in the country. It is held annually on the stages of the leading theatres and concert venues in Kazakhstan. Over the past 11 years, 450 thousand spectators have attended the festival events and 3.5 million viewers have watched online.
An original concept is developed for each festival.
In 2023, for the first time, the festival format has been expanded by the Contempo by Ballet Globe program, which presents an exclusively contemporary repertoire. The CONTEMPO project used the advanced world technologies in the field of contemporary art with the use of 3D mapping - ultra-modern and technologically advanced version of scenery.
