Biography

(15.12.1929, Alma-Ata - 12.05.2013, Almaty) - artist, actress. Honored Art Figure of the KazSSR (1965), People's Artist of the KazSSR (1987).

In 1944 she was admitted to Alma-Ata Art College. At the same time, she studied at the Conservatory in the vocal class. In 1956 graduated from the I.E. Repin Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, the class of M.P. Bobyshev.

After graduation, she returns to the art school as a teacher for one year. The first performance of the artist was "Akbope" by A. Satpayev on the stage of the Theater for Children and Youth (1957). From 1972 to 1989 - the chief artist of the Abay Kazakh State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. As an artist, she participated in the creation of more than 28 operas and ballets on the stage of the Abay SAOBT: "Er-Targyn" (1967), "Zhumbak-Kyz" (1972), "Alpamys" (1973), "Cio-Cio-San" (1972-1973). The ballets: “On the Way of Friendship” by L. Stepanov and N. Tlendiyev, “Kambar and Nazim” by V. Velikanov (1950), “Kozy-Korpesh-Bayan-Sulu” by E. Brusilovsky (1971), “Farewell to St. Petersburg" by R. Strauss (1988), where she acted as a stage and costume designer.

She created picturesque portraits of the contemporaries - famous figures of art and culture of Kazakhstan. The cycle of compositional portraits opens with the painting "Kazakh Waltz" - a portrait of the People's Artist of Kazakh SSR Shara Zhienkulova (1958). Subsequent works: portrait of the People's Artist of Kazakh SSR Sholpan Dzhandarbekova (1960), portrait of Kulyash Baiseitova (1962), portrait of Dina Nurpeisova (1965), triptych "Folk Craftswoman" (1967), portrait of A. Kasteyev (1967), portrait of M. Auezov, portrait of S. Mukanov (1969), self-portrait with the family (1978), etc. She acted in films as an actress: “Alitet Leaves for the Hills”, “Botagoz”, “Kyz Zhibek”, etc.
