The premiere took place on November 8, 1940 at the SAOBT (now the Abay KazNOBT).
Characters and performers: Dariga - Nursulu Tapalova; Aidar - Yuri Kovalev; Karabas - Vladimir Bakanov; Dariga's friends- Mabrura Akhmedieva, Karima Aidarova.
The ballet touches upon the theme of socialist society and collective farm construction in Kazakhstan. Awakening of nature. The first love of the young collective farmers Dariga and Aidar, which haunts the son of the former bai - the insidious Karabas, who is hopelessly in love with Dariga. In the second act, Karabas, obsessed with revenge, sets fire to the collective farm fields and tries to escape. The dramatic confrontation between the firebug and Aidar ends with saving of Aidar's life. In the act 3, the entire collective farm happily celebrates the wedding of Aidar and Dariga.
In 1943 based on I. Nadirov's music for the ballet "Spring", the ballet "Kazakh dance suite" was staged at the SAOBT.
