Biography
17.02.1947, Alma-Ata.
Ballet dancer, teacher. Honored Artist of the KazSSR (1976), People's Artist of the KazSSR (1981), Laureate of the Lenin Komsomol Prize of the USSR (1980).
Graduated from the Moscow Choreographic School at the Bolshoi Theater of the USSR (1959-1966), teachers: E.N. Zhemchuzhina, graduation class of S.M. Messerer.
1966-1986 - prima ballerina of the Abay SAOBT. Repertoire: Nikiya (“La Bayadere”), Giselle (“Giselle”), Phrygia (“Spartacus”), Princess Aurora (“The Sleeping Beauty”), Maria (“The Fountain of Bakhchisarai”), Juliet (“Romeo and Juliet”), Francesca (“Francesca da Rimini”), Young Lady (“The Young Lady and the Hooligan”) - the first performance, Barshagul (“Aksak-kulan” by A. Serkebayev), Aliya (“Aliya” by M. Sagatov), Bayan (“Kozy Korpesh-Bayan Sulu» by Y. Brusilovsky) etc.
Danced on ballet scenes of the world: Czechoslovakia (1973), Yugoslavia (1979), Great Britain (1974), Denmark (1975), India (1976), Japan (1978), Austria, Finland (1980), USA, Sweden (1981), Germany (1984) etc. Her performing skills were permeated with lyricism and special acuteness of feelings. An impeccable school, combined with artistic talent and expressiveness, characterize the unforgettable images and creativity of an outstanding ballerina.
From 1991-2020 - professor of the Department of Choreography and Cultural- Mass Work at the KazSWPU, teacher of choreographic disciplines in the theory and methodology of teaching classical, historical and daily life dance, Head of the professional development courses for choreographers. Since September 2020, she has retired. She made a great contribution to the development of Kazakh ballet, higher choreographic education and pedagogy in Kazakhstan.
