Biography

KENZIKEYEV Ruslan Vladimirovich (8.10.1990, Leninogorsk) - ensemble artist, teacher, researcher. PhD (2018).

He graduated from the Bachelor program in specialty "Teacher of sports ballroom dance" (2007-2011), the Master's program in specialty "Choreography Directing" (2011-2012) and PhD program (2015-2018) of the T.K. Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts.

2008-2009 - artist of the original show "Megapolis" (Almaty); 2009-2010 - artist of the dance ensemble "Altynbubi" (Almaty); 2008-2009 - teacher-coach of sports ballroom dancing of the Dance and Sports Club "Tarlan-sport" (Almaty); 2009-2010 - teacher of the PREMIUM class dance studio "Ladanza"; 2010-2013 - founder and leader of the dance group "The Very Ballet" (Almaty); 2011-2013 - director of the dance group "Ken MaviShow"; since 2013 - artistic director of the “Skydance” ballroom dance ensemble (Astana); in 2014 - opened a private dance school "Kenzikeyev Dance School" (Astana). In the period 2000-2010 - frequent participant, Prize-winner and winner of sports ballroom dancing competitions.

2013-2015 - teacher of the Faculty of Choreography, founder of the specialization "Teacher of sports ballroom dance" in the Kazakh National University of Arts (Astana); since 2016 - Senior lecturer, Department of Pedagogy, Faculty of Choreography; since 2021 - Head of the Department of Pedagogy of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography.

Judge of the Association of Dance Sport Federations of the RK. In different years, he completed professional development courses and master classes from the leading world teachers: Alexander Melnikov (Russia), Gianni B Oria (Italy), Lasse Odegaard (Norway), Ute Streicher (Germany), Colin James (England), Fredi Novak (Slovenia), Eric Sourdrau (France), Miriam Zwijsen- Bakke (Netherlands), Sergey Belikov (Russia), Marat Gimayev (Russia), Dmitry Timokhin (Russia), Kirill Belorukov (Russia), Marcel Kayser (Netherlands) and others; specialized course in ballet art at the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts (Republic of Bulgaria, Plovdiv, 2017).

In 2018 defended PhD thesis on the topic "Directing and stage interpretation of traditional dances of the Turkic peoples of Kazakhstan", the author of more than 15 scientific publications in the International journals and joint monographs ("Dances of the Turkic peoples", Almaty, 2001).
