Biography

KIM (Li) Rimma Ivanovna (01.01.1946, Kuygan village, Almaty region) - soloist of the ensemble, ballet master. People's Artist of the RK (1995).

She graduated from Tashkent Choreographic School on specialty "Artist of Dance Ensemble" (1960-1964).

Since 1964 - soloist of the State Dance Ensemble of Uzbekistan. Since 1965 she worked in the Mukimi State Musical Theater (Tashkent, Uzbekistan). In 1966-1970 she was a soloist of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the KazSSR. The repertoire consisted of dances of the peoples of the East, she danced Kazakh dances (compositions “Evenings on Jailau” by B. Baikadamov, “At the foot of Alatau” by L. Hamidi). Working in the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Kazakh SSR on the creation of stage versions of the Afghan, Syrian, Punjabi dances, R. Kim introduced elements of folk stage dance into the compositions. The dances, being enriched with a new, more complex technique, became more emotional, revealed the many-sided beauty of the choreographic compositions.

1969-1989 - soloist of the State Republican Academic Korean Theater of Musical Comedy. “Dance with fans”, “Dance with swords” were of great success with the audience. Thanks to her work as a choreographer-director at the State Republican Academic Korean Theater of Musical Comedy, she raised the Korean stage dance in Kazakhstan to a new level. She performed numerous dance scenes in the performances and concert programs of the "Arirang" Ensemble of the Korean Theater. Her dances for the ballet group of the theater were awarded 2nd place at the VI International Festival (Almaty, 2001). Since 1990, she has been working in the "Chinson" Dance Ensemble, where she created the children's dance studio. On the basis of this studio, the "Bidulgi" ensemble was created, which in 1994 became a Laureate of the "April Spring" Festival (Pyongyang, North Korea). Ensemble "Bidulgi" is a participant of the large cultural events, festivals and concerts in Kazakhstan and other countries: Korea, Japan, Spain, India, Thailand, Canada, USA.

For many years of creative and pedagogical activity, internships in the DPRK, R.I. Kim created her own school of Korean dance, developed a training program in Korean dance ensembles, and summarized rich material in her methodology. Her students work as teachers, tutors, choreographers in dance groups.

Awards: holder of the badge "Respublikaga sinirgen airyksha enbegi ushin" (1982); Jubilee Medal "In Commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of V.I. Lenin", holder of the "Catherine II" Order (1995), Veteran of Labour.
