ALTYNAI STATE FOLK DANCE ENSEMBLE

Biography

SFDE "Altynai" was created at the Suyunbai Regional Philharmonic in 1985. The ideological inspirer of the team is the public figure, ethnographer Uzbekali Janibekov. The leaders of the ensemble in different years were R.S. Davletyarova (1985-1986), Honored Artist of KazSSR T.O. Іzіm (1986-1988); Honored Artist of KazSSR A.M. Ismailov (1988-1995, 2000-2002); Honored Artist of KazSSR E.D. Malbekov (1995-2000); Cultural figure of RK T.Zh. Kylyshbayev (2002-2013); holder of the badge "Excellence in culture of the RK" G.K. Ospanova (2013-2015), holder of the badge "Excellence in culture of the RK" G.D. Smagulova (2015-2022). In 2002, in connection with the relocation of the regional center, the ensemble was transferred to Taldykorgan; in 2022 the center of the Almaty region moved to the Konaev city, where from this period "Altynai" begins its creative activity under the leadership of the holder of the badge "Excellence in culture of the RK" Bekzat Agiyar (2022).

In its creative work the ensemble develops folklore and ethnographic dance, preserving and developing the origins of Kazakh dance and traditional dance culture of the people. The main repertoire of the ensemble was created by Olga Vsevolodskaya-Golushkevich, Honored art figure of the Kazakh SSR, who, through a deep study of primary sources, staged a number of original choreographic compositions, including “Bastau”, “Zheztyrnak”, “Baksy oyiny”, “Saiys”, “Kylyshpan bi”, "Kiiz Basu", "Kerbez bi", "Akat" and other dances on historical and ethnic themes. The program of the ensemble includes dances staged by famous choreographers of Kazakhstan such as D. Abirov, Sh. Zhienkulova, M. Tleubayev, Zh. Baidaralin. The choreographers N. Tayir, A. Kulbekova, G. Orymbayeva, E. Agymbayev and others worked with the ensemble.

The ensemble has repeatedly presented its art abroad: Vietnam (1986), Laos (1986), USA (1986), India (1987), Nepal (1987), Belgium (1989), Mexico (1989), Italy (1992), South Korea (2003), Serbia and Hungary (2016), Turkey (2018), Thailand (2019). Participated in the Days of Culture of Kazakhstan in Ukraine (Kyiv, Dneprodzerzhinsk, 1987); in Russia (Moscow, Mytishchi, Ramenskoye, 2003); in Turkey (Antalya, 2004; Ankara, 2016); in Kyrgyzstan (Osh, 2006); in China (Beijing, 2006; Xian, 2013); in France (Paris, 2008); in Korea (Seoul, 2011); in Uzbekistan (Tashkent, 2017). Participated in the World Exhibition EXPO-2010 in China (Shanghai) and EXPO-2012 in South Korea (Yeosu).

Awards: Laureate of Sh. Zhienkulova I Republican Competition of Kazakh Dance (Almaty, 1992); Laureate of the International Festival of Folk Dance Belgium (Tournay, 1989); Grand Prix of the XIX International Festival of Creative Youth "Shabyt" (Astana, 2016).
