INTERNATIONAL BALLET COMPETITION. ASTANA
Biography
The Festival was established by the Foundation for the Development and Support of Ballet and National Dance. It was first held in December 2006, Astana.
Aim and objectives: popularization of choreographic art; preservation and development of classical ballet traditions; identifying and stimulating talented young artists; enhancing the cultural image of Kazakhstan. The competition is attended by ballet dancers and students of special educational institutions from all over the world aged 17 to 26 years. Prominent domestic and foreign cultural figures, world ballet stars and outstanding choreographers take part in the Jury.
