Biography

(02.09.1975, Zhezkazgan) – literary editor, screenwriter.

Graduated from the Department of Literary Translation, Faculty of Philology of the Al-Farabi Kazakh State University (1992-1996); Faculty of Cinematography of the T. K. Zhurgenov Kazakh State Institute of Theater and Cinema (1994-1998). During his studies, he co-authored the script for the documentary film “Zhambyl” by K. Omarov.

In 1996 he was accepted to work as the editor of the national channel “Alatau”. He was the editor of the educational program “Keruen-saray”. 1998-2008 – worked as a correspondent for the “News” service on city and republican TV channels. Since 2009, he has been working as a translator and editor of the dubbing department of the ERA TV channel (Channel 7), the author of educational and informational programs of the independent studios: “Zhadiger”, “Asyl Soz”, “Omir Zholy”. Since 2011 he has been teaching at the Department of Art History of the Kazakh National University of Arts.

Since 2015 – literary editor of the “Astana Ballet” Theatre, co-author of the libretto of the ballet performance “Kozy Korpesh – Bayan Sulu” (“A Poem about Love”) choreographed by G. Kovtun (2021).
