Biography

(09.07.1987, Leningrad) – production designer. Laureate of the highest theater award of St. Petersburg “Golden Soffit” in the nomination “Best work of the artist”, Laureate of the award of the Governor of the Omsk region “For the merits in the development of culture and art”, Laureate of the XII International Slavic Music Forum “Golden Knight” in the nomination “Best work of the artist” (opera “The Legend of the Invisible City of Kitezh and the Maiden Fevroniya”) by N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov, Laureate of the VIII International Theater Forum “The Golden Knight” (ballet “The Overcoat”), Laureate of the festival “Theatrical Olympus” (ballet “The Overcoat”), participant in the prestigious International exhibition of stage design and theater architecture “Prague Quadrennial” (PQ) (opera “Love for three oranges” by S. Prokofiev, 2011).

Graduated from the Art and Aesthetic Lyceum of the A. L. Stieglitz St. Petersburg Art and Industry Academy; evening art classes and the theater and art workshop of E. S. Kochergin of the I. E. Repin St. Petersburg Academy of Arts; workshop of V. A. Okunev on specialty “Production Designer of Musical Theater “ of the St. Petersburg Academy of Theater Arts.

Since 2010 – Chief artist of the Omsk State Musical Theater, where he carried out more than 20 productions, including: the operas “Carmen” by G. Bizet, “Eugene Onegin” by P. Tchaikovsky, the operetta “The Merry Widow” by F. Lehar, the ballet “Anna Karenina” by P. Tchaikovsky.

As a stage designer and costume designer, he has done more than 100 productions in the theaters in Russia, Europe and the USA. Art Director of the Digital Opera International Festival (since 1992).

Since 2015 he has been collaborating with the “Astana Ballet” Theatre. Stage designer for the ballet “Cleopatra” by M. Ravel, choreography by N. Markelov (premiered on June 24, 2015); for the ballet “Cinderella” by S. Prokofiev, choreography and libretto by N. Kalinina (premiered on December 20, 2019).
