Biography

Ballet epic in two acts with a prologue.

The ballet was created for the troupe of the Astana Ballet Theatre, the premiere took place on July 2, 2021.

Characters and performers: White Elder - Serik Amanzhol; Kozy-Korpesh - Sundet Sultanov; Bayan-Sulu - Darina Kairasheva; Kodar - Yerkanat Yermagambet; She-wolf, Kodar's mother - Riza Kanatkyzy; Karabay, father of Bayan-Sulu - Bauyrzhan Mekembayev; Mother of Bayan-Sulu - Aliya Aitbayeva; Father of Kozy-Korpesh - Akkali Turgali; Mother of Kozy-Korpesh - Assel Zhangaskayeva; Orteke - Azamat Zhankabayev; Puppeteer - Ilya Manaenkov.

The characters of the performance, the young man Kozy-Korpesh and the girl Bayan, strive for happiness, but fate, doom pursue them. Their destinies are bound in a tight knot, and the denouement is tragic. Kozy-Korpesh's father dies, Bayan's father breaks the oath, which is akin to death. The lovers are not given to find love and happiness on earth, the fate of each of them is a clear evidence that love and devotion are higher than life.
