Biography

(02.05.1964, Alma-Ata) - composer. Honored Figure of Kazakhstan (2010), holder of the "Kurmet" Order (2016). Member of the Union of Composers of the USSR (1990) and member of the Union of Composers of Kazakhstan (1990), member of the International Society of Contemporary Music.

She graduated from the Historical and Theoretical Faculty of the Kurmangazy Alma-Ata State Conservatory in the specialties: “Composition” and “Piano” (1987), Laureate of the All-Union and International competitions of young composers (Moscow, 1984, 1987).

1990-1991 - Lecturer at the WPI, Kurmangazy ASC; 1992-1994 - completed an post graduate-internship in the classes of G. Zhubanova and E. Rakhmadiyev; 1995-2014 - teacher and Head of the department "Composition and Orchestral Conducting" of the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory. Vice-Rector of the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory (2000-2014). She took part in the International Competition of Composers “Gaudeamus Music” in Amsterdam, Holland (1991), “ALEA” in Boston, USA (1996), internship at the Xenakis Academy of Computer Music in Mussy, France; "Masterprize" London, UK (1997); at the Theater Academy Bochum, Germany (Schauspielschule Bochum, 1999).

MBA of the International Academy of Business on specialty “Management” (2007), DBA degree (Doctor of Business Administration) at the International Academy of Business of National Economy under the Government of the RF (2010). She defended Doctoral thesis and was conferred the degree "Doctor of Art History" in Sofia, Bulgaria (2017). Professor HAC (2021). Honorary member of the National Academy of Sciences of the RK (2021).

2014-2016 - Director of the Department of Culture and Art of the MCS RK; since October 3, 2016- Vice Minister of MCS RK; June 2019 - January 2022 - Minister of Culture and Sports of the RK.

April 2022 to the present - Director of the RSME "R. Baglanova Qazaq Concert State Concert Organization”.

The author of the music for the two-act ballet "Celestial Nomad Camp" - "Aspan koshi", which was staged 10 years later in the one-act play "Sounds of Time" choreographed by K. Zvereva on the stage of the “Astana Opera” Theater (2018). Author of the music for the ballet "Kozy-Korpesh - Bayan Sulu" directed by G. Kovtun at the “Astana Ballet” Theater (2020).
