One-act ballet.
Composer - Pyotr Tchaikovsky. Choreography and staging - Bulat Ayukhanov.
The premiere took place in 1978. The ballet was created for the ECM “Young Ballet of Alma-Ata” under the direction of Bulat Ayukhanov.

First turning to the tragedy of the same title, the ballet master staged only the “Balcony Scene”.

Tragic love of two lovers on the background of the enmity of the Montague and Capulet families. Mercutio and Tybalt clash in Piazza Verona. Tybalt struck a deadly blow to Mercutio. Romeo fights with Tybalt and kills him. He has to run. Romeo secretly says goodbye to Juliet. Juliet drinks the potion, which is given to her by Laurence. She fell into a deep sleep, like death. Juliet rests in the family tomb. Romeo runs into the cemetery. He falls to the tomb, says goodbye to Juliet and drinks the poison. Juliet wakes up. Her gaze falls upon the dying Romeo, the girl rushes to her lover. Saying goodbye to him, saying goodbye to life, Juliet stabs herself with a dagger.
