Biography

SEMYANOV Alexey Fedorovich (28.05.1948, Alma-Ata - 23.12.2006, Moscow) - ballet dancer, ballet master. Honored Artist of the KazSSR (1973), Diploma winner of the All-Union Competition of New Numbers (1967, Moscow).

Graduated from Almaty Choreographic School (1958-1967) in the class of teacher B. Ayukhanov; Ballet Master Department of the A.V. Lunacharsky State Institute of Theater Arts (1980-1985), teachers: T.I. Tarasova, M.T. Semenova, M.V. Rozhdestvenskaya, T.I. Tkachenko. The defense of the Diploma work consisted of two works: "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" (music by P. Dukas) and "The Origins of the Beautiful" (music by S. Prokofiev "Piano Concerto 1"). He is also the author of the libretto for his productions. The production was staged for the artists of the ensemble "Young Ballet". Upon graduation, he was invited as a ballet master to the Abay SAOBT.

1967-1980 - soloist of the ensemble "Young Ballet" under the direction of B. Ayukhanov. Performed main roles: Jose (“Carmen Suite”, music by G. Bizet-R. Shchedrin), Claudius, Hamlet (“Hamlet”, music by A. Isakova), Bride groom (“Kazakh Souvenirs”, music by V. Bulgarovsky), Batyr (“The Batyrs”, music by A. Isakova), The General (“The Gambler”, music by S. Prokofiev), Svidrigailov “Delusion”, “Crime and Punishment”, music by D. Shostakovich), Leader (“Caravan”, music by T. Kazhgaliyev).

After moving to Russia, he worked in the Jewish Chamber Musical Theater (JCMT), in the Taganka Theater (Moscow), where he staged dance and plastic scenes in the performances.
