SHANGALIYEV Khamit Khalelovich

Biography

(17.06.1981, Zhusaly village, Syrym district, West Kazakhstan region) – singer, composer, music producer. “Madeniyet salasynyn uzdіgі”, holder of the “Kurmet” Order.

Graduated from the Music Faculty of the M. Utemisov West Kazakhstan State University, specialty “Bayan” (additional instrument piano), teacher D. M. Baitleuov (1998-2002). In his student years, he became one of the founders of the vocal group (trio) “Zhas Kyran” (Winner of the II Prize in the contest of young pop song performers “Zhas Kanat” (2002).

Since 2003 he worked in the State Academic Philharmonic of the Akimat of Astana as an arranger, opened a studio in the Central Concert Hall “Kazakhstan”, in which the composer works to present day. Together with the composer T. Mukhamedzhanov, he wrote the music for the first rock opera in Kazakhstan “Zheruyik”, is the author of the works of the large-scale State projects: the 550th anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate, Universiade-2011, EXPO-2017. In 2013 he was invited to the “Astana Opera” as a sound director. He is a music producer of the TV show “Yegiz-Lebiz”, “Kazakhstan dauysy”.

In collaboration with A. Alpiyev, he wrote music for the ballet “Sultan Baybars”, which premiere took place on December 4, 2020 (“Astana Ballet” Theatre), is the author of the miniatures for the ballet “Language of Love” (“Astana Ballet” Theatre, 2016).
