SHOMAYEVA Dilara Yerzhanovna
Biography
(09.03.1988, Alma-Ata) – ballet dancer, PhD (2023). winner of the honorary medal “Eren enbegi ushin” (2020).
1999-2006 – graduated from the A. V. Seleznev ACS, teachers: M. Sh. Kadyrova, B. T. Suleyeva, N. L. Goncharova. 2007-2011 – Bachelor’s degree of the T. K. Zhurgenov KazNAA, specialty “Teacher-choreographer”. In 2019, she received a Master’s degree in Art History in the specialty “Choreography” at the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography. In the same place, in 2019-2022 she studied at the PhD program in the specialty “Art History” and defended PhD thesis.
2006-2013 – soloist of the ballet at the Abay SAOBT. She performed leading roles in classical performances: “La Bayadère” (Gamzatti), “The Fountain of Bakhchisarai” (Zarema), “Giselle” (Myrtha), “La Fille mal gardee” (Lise), “The Sleeping Beauty” (Lilac Fairy), “Don Quixote” (Street Dancer), as well as in the ballets “The Legend of Love” (Mekhmene-Banu) choreographed by Y. Grigorovich, “Carmen Suite” (Carmen) choreographed by A. Alonso, “Scheherazade” (Zobeide) by T. Candeloro, “Anna Karenina” (Kitty) by B. Eifman, “Carmina Burana”, “Suite in the Style of Antico” by G. Tutkibayeva.
In 2015, she joined the troupe of the “Astana Ballet” Theatre, where she later became the leading soloist. Performer of premiere performances: “Serenade” (choreography by G. Balanchine), “In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated” (choreography by W. Forsythe); “Giselle” as Giselle, “Touch of Illusion”, “Diversity” (choreography by R. Amarante), “Walpurgis Night” as Demeter (choreography by G. Kovtun), “Legend of Turanga” as Soul of Turanga (choreography by A. Sadykova). The repertoire also includes the one-act ballets “Love Fear Loss”, “A Fuego Lento” (choreography by R. Amarante), “Salome”, “The Arcana of Fate” (choreography by M. Avakhri).
2019-2021 – literary editor of the “Astana Ballet” Theatre, co-author and presenter of special educational projects “Backstage Secrets”, “Onstage / online”, etc. Author of two issues of the children’s educational magazine about ballet “The Magic of Ballet”.
She is a co-author of the libretto of the play “Salome” (choreography by M. Avakhri) at the “Astana Ballet” Theater (2018).
Awards: Diploma winner of the International Competition of Choreographic Schools and a special prize for the expressiveness of performance (Novosibirsk, Russia, 2004). Winner of the “Khalyk algysy”medal (2020).
