The dramatic basis of the legendary ballet is the confrontation between two classes: patricians and gladiators. The rebellious gladiators capture Crassus the leader of the patricians, but the leader of the gladiators, Spartacus, does not want the reprisal - in a fair fight, he defeats Crassus and drives him away in disgrace. The jubilant rebels praise the victory of Spartacus. Crassus gathers legionnaires. And Aegina is plotting an insidious plan - to sow discord in the camp of the rebels.

Spartacus is happy with Phrygia. However, he anticipates a tragic end, but for the sake of freedom, he is ready to give his life. In an unequal battle, his friends and he himself perish. Phrygia finds the body of Spartacus. She mourns him, full of faith in the immortality of his feat.
