TEMPS LIE INTERNATIONAL BALLET FESTIVAL
Biography
The organizer of the festival is the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography with the support of the MCS RK and the “Astana Ballet” theatre. The purpose of the festival is the development and popularization of choreographic art; international exchange of creative achievements in the field of choreographic education; improving the performance skills of the festival participants; identification and support of gifted performers. Frequency of the festival: every three years. Festival nominations: Classical dance; Folk stage dance (folklore, stylized folk); Modern dance.
The I International Festival of Professional Choreographic Educational Institutions "Temps lie" was held as part of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the capital on May 3-5, 2018. The opening took place on the stage of the “Astana Ballet” theatre. There were 28 participants from 11 countries: Russia, USA, Japan, Great Britain, etc. The guests of honor of the festival were the stars of the ballet art, including the leading dancer of the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow and the Royal Ballet in London Irek Mukhamedov; People's Artist of Russia Ulyana Lopatkina; Honored Artist of Russia, teacher, choreographer Elena Kuzmina; professor of the Beijing Academy of Dance, choreographer Xiao Suhua; Rector of the Tashkent State Higher School of National Dance and Choreography Shukhrat Tokhtasimov; Keisuke Kosaka, director of the Sofia Ballet Academy in Japan.
The II festival took place on November 15-19, 2021 in Nur-Sultan city. Organizers: MCS RK, NJSC "Kazakh National Academy of Choreography", "Astana Ballet"theater. The festival was held online for the first time, through the demonstration of recorded video lessons and video lectures, received video materials with performances of the participants from different countries. Among them: Baku Academy of Choreography; Novosibirsk State Choreographic School; Moscow State Academy of Choreography; Yakutsk Ballet School; Bashkir Choreographic College; “SOFIA BALLET ACADEMY” (Japan); Belarusian State Choreographic Gymnasium-College; National Dance Academy of Rome (Italy); the A.V. Seleznev ACS.
Within the framework of the festival, the world premiere of the ballet "The Romance of a Rosebud and a Moth" staged by Vasily Medvedev took place, assistant ballet master Stanislav Fecho, performers: students of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography. Master classes on the classical heritage were held (teachers A. A. Asylmuratova, E. Sherstneva). Open lessons in classical dance: 5th year of study (teacher S. Yu. Kokshinova); 8th year of study (teacher R. K. Tulegenova); Kazakh dance (teacher A.A. Sadykova), Acting (A. M. Lukovkin). Lectures by famous ballet experts: G.T. Zhumaseitova “National ballet in view of creative searches of modern choreographers of Kazakhstan”; F. B. Musin "Ballets of Marius Petipa on the stage of the “Astana Opera” theatre".
